Healing Doesn’t Have to be “Hard”

✨Recently our coaching team was reflecting on how diverse the feel & vibe is in the different training and coaching containers we're in outside of our own programs. All of us are in love with learning, and we're all in various trainings to further develop & deepen both personally and professionally.

There's a common notion in the practice of transformation & healing that this work is necessarily "hard" --- but I've found that only to be partly true. Does it require commitment? Yes. Patience? For sure. Self-compassion? Absolutely. ✅

But this work is also endlessly fascinating. Authentic. Human. Magical. And, most of all, the investment we make in our own healing and expansion heals and expands every single other facet of our lives --- the "ROI" of healing is beyond measure.

In my experience, healing is only "hard" when:
- We're not yet ready to lay our stories & BS down
- We're not ready to take responsibility for our life & choices
- We resist growing up and being honest with ourselves & others
- We're unwilling to embrace the full range of human experience with its depth, paradoxes, emotional tides and energetic rhythms
- The container is held by leaders who believe healing IS hard - so it is! It feels heavy, laborious, self-referential and serious... like another chore or exam to gut through, or mental concepts to memorize and tickle our ego rather than feel.

👉🏽 Our approach and mindset around our personal healing plays such an important role in our experience. And I believe we're at the very beginning of a shift in society where personal healing becomes something we proactively, joyfully look forward to incorporating into our lives versus something we do with dread after-the-fact.

We can make healing a fun, fascinating, easeful and central part of our everyday lives, and transform our culture from one of desperate sick-care to one of embodied & empowered vitality. ☀️

On any given coaching call in our 🍄 Community, within the span of an hour we’re cracking up, someone is sharing a massive breakthrough, and someone else is in tears & pressed up against their edge. One person just connected some meaningful dots, while another wades through a liminal place & quiet metamorphosis. Someone is sharing how their life is completely unrecognizable for the better from where it was three years ago, while someone else is just starting their journey and sharing their hopes & intentions.

This - ALL of this ♥️ - is what it's all about. When you step into growth with the mindset of openness, humility, grace and curiosity, it's a whole lot less hard and way more fun 🙌🏽 than we make it out to be. Healing, to me, is brave, courageous, fascinating, often hilarious and worth everything - it's the foundation of our lives upon which everything else is built. Whether for ourselves, our families, our communities or society itself... it's the perfect moment to bend and reshape how we approach & embrace our healing.
